The week of November 29 will be a busy one as multiple boards and commissions will be meeting.
Tuesday, December 1
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will meet at 2 p.m. and is expected to take up a resolution that would require the county’s Strategic Plan commission to remove any references to defunding the county’s police department.
Starting at 6 p.m., elected leaders from the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates, who represent Prince William County, will join the Board of Supervisors for its annual meeting with the state delegation. The officials normally meet for dinner; however, this discussion will be held electronically this year.
In Stafford County, the Board of Supervisors and the School Board are set to meet for a joint work session at 2 p.m. to discuss capital projects, including the county’s soon-to-be-built sixth high school.
The Board of Supervisors will also vote on a proposal to extend the deadline to pay Real Estate and personal property taxes from December 5 to January 31, 2021.
The Occoquan Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. December 1, when it will get an update on a new timed parking plan designed to charge track and limit the time people can use an on-street parking space. The new parking plan could take effect on February 1, 2021. According to the previous A minutes, town residents who park on the street will need to have a parking pass to avoid paying.

On January 25th, we invite you to experience the magic of Galette des Rois, a 700-year-old tradition celebrated across France throughout the entire month of January (and even beyond!). The lucky person who finds the fève (a porcelain charm hidden in one of the slices) becomes the King or Queen for the Day, and don’t worry—there will be plenty of royalty to go around! ??
But that’s not all! In France, Les Voeux (New Year’s wishes) continue throughout January, often accompanied by Champagne and good cheer. We’re bringing that festive spirit to you, with a lively evening packed with French food, wine, and music.
