One person has barricaded himself into his home just off Bacon Race Road in Woodbridge.
Police have surrounded the home on Wolf Run Shoals Road where the unidentified person has locked himself inside.
Police tell us:
There is one person who has locked himself inside of a residence on Wolf Run Shoals Rd. There is no one else inside the home and police are on scene. The scene is active, so we do not have more right now. Wolf Run Shoals Rd. and Observer Ln. (both local roads) have been blocked at this time.
Traffic is being diverted from the area.
We don’t know if the person inside the house has a weapon. The scene is located about two and a half miles from the Prince William County Government Center.
There is no threat to the community, police said.

At 4 o’clock this morning, a house fire on the 14000 block of Carolina Street in Woodbridge was quickly controlled by fire crews, though the home sustained extensive damage.
On June 22, 2024, the Ira Dorsey Scholarship Ball, hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Xi Alpha Lambda Chapter, seated in Prince William County, VA, awarded $73,000 in scholarships to 17 students through the chapter’s foundation, the Ira Dorsey Scholarship Endowment Fund. These scholarships will support their college journeys at prestigious universities such as Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, Purdue University, Howard University, Shenandoah University, Old Dominion University, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Virginia, Cornell University, Spelman College, North Carolina A&T State University, and Norfolk State University. The event highlighted the commitment of the Ira Dorsey Scholarship Endowment Fund to fostering academic excellence and supporting the educational aspirations of young scholars in our community.
