Robert “Bob” Louis Foubare, 74, of Stafford, Virginia, died April 12, 2020, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was preceded in death by his parents, (Lucy) Jane Lawhon and Louis Henry Foubare, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carmela Grace Belletti Foubare and their three children: son Robert Damien Foubare, daughter Mary Antoinette Foubare Wohletz (son-in-law Carl Martin Wohletz, Jr.), and son John Paul Foubare; six grandchildren: Meghan Elaine Foubare, Sydni Alexis O’Neill, Kayla McKenzie Foubare, Owen Martin Wohletz, Nicholas Vincent Wohletz and Landen Jeffrey Foubare; five siblings: Louis Henry Foubare III, Rosemary Jane Foubare Domina (brother-in-law Jim Domina), Edward Gideon Foubare, Donald Stuart Foubare (sister-in-law Christina Collin), and Ellen Roslyne Foubare Carrell.
Bob worked for more than 40 years as an IT Consultant, Analyst and Project Manager for various government agencies, including, but not limited to, the U.S. Army CECOM Intelligence Material Management Center, where he received a commendation for his contributions to and support of Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Bob ended his career in 2015 as a consultant for CACI, where he received achievement awards for his leadership contributions to the Year 2000 Compliance Program and the Post-911 Regional Communications Upgrade, both for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
Due to the unprecedented circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the immediate family will privately lay Bob to rest on Friday, April 17 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Stafford, Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, when it is deemed safe to gather and honor Bob as the loyal and devoted husband, father, grandfather (“Nonno”), brother and friend he was to all. He will be forever cherished and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
