There are now two suspects behind bars who were wanted in connection to an armed robbery of a WaWa gas station in Woodbridge is in custody.
Todd Christopher Lawson, 51, was located and taken into custody in Washington DC by members of the Washington Metropolitan Police Department. The suspect will remain jailed in Washington, D.C. until extradited to Prince William County, according to police.
He’s charged with robbery. His arrest is the second in the case.
The first suspect in the case, Delfino Alexander Ramirez, was arrested on April 5 in Washington D.C. He’s sought in connection to incidents at two other gas stations — the robbery at 2051 Daniel Stuart Square in Woodbridge on March 14, and larceny that occurred at the Sheetz located at 2500 Caton Hill Road in Woodbridge on March 30.
Ramirez will also be extradited to Prince William County.
The robbery of the WaWa at Daniel Stuart Square happened on March 14 at 1:35 a.m. An employee told police that a man entered the store and walked behind the counter. During the encounter, the suspect took tobacco products and fled the store.
An employee followed the suspect out of the store and confronted him. At that point, the accused brandished a knife before fleeing in a silver sedan.
No injuries were reported.
