Shot of the Week: Sign Warns of Tasty Treats to Come

Here is a question for you. What is a bright red circular sign you should not stop for? The Krispy Kreme “Hot Now” sign, that’s what.

The doughnut shop turns on this red neon sign when they have fresh hot doughnuts ready.

Recently after leaving my house without breakfast to do some Christmas shopping at Central Park in Fredericksburg, I found myself more than a little hungry. Seeing the red sign at the Krispy Kreme lit up, I figured “What harm could one little glazed doughnut do?”

A lot, I tell you. They are unbelievably good — warm, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Unfortunately the company has an iPhone app that will alert you when the red “Hot Now” sign is turned on at a store near you.

Android users, you are not safe either they have an app for you too.

You have been warned: do not stop for that red sign!
