Jackie Robinson-Burnett is the new president of Contract Solutions, Inc.

The contractor provides short and long-term staffing services to the federal government.

  • It is one of the largest businesses in Prince William County and is known for its work with the veteran community.

Robinson-Burnett, 54, of Woodbridge, will start as CEO president on November 4

  • She comes to the firm after a two year-stint at Live Oak Bank, where she was a domain expert in the bank’s government contracting unit.
  • She also worked at the U.S. Small Business Administration for two years, working as a senior executive in government contracting development.

Company founder Corliss Udeoma announced her retirement from the firm she founded on Monday, at the Clubs of Quantico, during a Prince William Chamber of Commerce event.

  • “I started this company with $50 and a bible. I’m keeping the 50 bucks, but I’m giving you the bible,” she told Robinson-Burnett in front of a crowd of more than 200 people.

Robinson-Burnett told Potomac Local she plans to grow the firm, taking it from a $4 million a year company to a $10 million a year firm.

  • Hiring more veterans will be key to the company’s success.
  • “Veterans come to us trained,” she said.
