Victim estimates $1.2 million in damages caused to construction equipment

STAFFORD COUNTY -- Someone vandalized a construction site and left $1.2 million in damage.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office was called Tuesday, May 14 to a construction site on Potomac Creek Drive for a report of vandalism of heavy equipment.

Deputies talked with a man who said he found extensive damage to one of the excavators when he arrived at the site that morning, said Stafford Sheriff’s spokeswoman Amanda Vicinanzo.
