North Stafford, Va. — One man was stabbed outside a bar in North Stafford early Saturday.
The unidentified victim was leaving Mainstreet Bar and Grill at 315 Garrisonville Road (Va. 610) about 1:30 a.m. when someone began yelling at him outside the bar. The victim turned around, walked up to the man and asked him to repeat himself, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The man then pulled a knife on the victim, but then was then restrained by his friends. The knife-wielding man was able to break free and approached the victim’s friend who was with him at the time.
The victim stepped in to protect his friend, put his hands up and was stabbed, said Kennedy. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for wounds that appeared to be non-life threatening.
Sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter around the neighborhood and searched the area around the bar, including a nearby Sport and Health Club after receiving tips from bystanders the knife-wielding man had fled on foot toward the gym, but authorities came up empty handed.
Deputies are still on the lookout for the man they stabbed the victim, and described him as Hispanic, 5 foot 6 to 5 foot 8 inches tall, 160 to 160 pounds, wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans.
