Competitive Edge athlete, 9 tackles basketball, tires. Next, maybe student council.

The Competitive Edge Athletic Performance Center in Woodbridge named 9-year-old Paul Ndugurut its February Athlete of the Month.

Attempting to get Nduguru to stop playing too many video games, his parents pushed him to join Competitive Edge. Although working out was initially challenging, Nduguru was able to make new friends and learned that exercising can be fun.

In just a few weeks, Nduguru was able to lose 15 pounds by participating in workouts and maintaining a good attitude.

“We selected Paul because he has transformed the way he thinks of exercise and getting in shape,” Shanel Evans, with Competitive Edge.

We asked Paul about his workout, and about his favorite sports.
