Fauquier Banks donates $100 to a charity of choice for new accounts

The Fauquier Bank went with a new community-driven initiative for the first quarter of 2019.

For every checking account opened from January 1, 2019 – February 28, 2019, the Bank will donate $100 to a Charity of Choice. The original goal was to donate $12,000 to charities in the first two months of 2019, but was increased on January 18, 2019, to $20,000 based on the original goal being achieved at the onset of the initiative.

According to Abbie Ford, Vice President and Director of Retail Banking of The Fauquier Bank, “We are pleased to be able to give to organizations that do so much good in our community. As a community bank, we know it is important to support organizations that nurture our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with these organizations.”

As of January 31, 2019, The Fauquier Bank has donated $20,600 to twenty charities.

“The success of this campaign speaks volumes about the members of the community that we serve—there is a true desire to help those in need. Our customers have enthusiastically expressed their support of the various charity choices. They like to see TFB investing in our community,” said Ford.
