Everyone loves to read a list.
That’s why, last fall, we started Potomac Local List as a bi-weekly email newsletter chocked full of fun events you could do with friends and family.
Since then, we’ve incorporated a listing of events inside our regular news emails. By doing this, we inadvertently duplicated efforts.
Also, since then two things have happened:
- Our outstanding Potomac Local List Editor Laura Mills has moved on to another exciting project in her day job.
- We’re making a more conscious effort in 2019 to not fill your inbox with duplicate content.
So, we’re moving Potomac Local List over to our website and retooling it into a new survey feature where we’ll ask you for your input on your favorite shops, restaurants, public parks, and more.
This month: What’s your favorite grocery store?
The grocery store wars have exploded in our region over the past 10 years. While traditional stores like Giant and Safeway are still doing business, there are newcomers to the market like Wegmans and Publix. Plus, deep-discounters like Aldi and Lidl have changed the amount we pay for groceries.
For the first two weeks of January, we’re taking your nominations for your favorite grocery stores. We’ll then compile a list from the nominations and then open voting during the last two weeks of the month.
Vote, and then share this post with a friend so they can vote. By the month’s end, we’ll find out which grocer tops the Potomac List!
