OCCOQUAN — (Press Release) Aaron Cedric Edmond, 25, a U.S. Navy Reservist and Senior Executive Assistant at Vista Technology Services Inc., announces his candidacy for the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, Occoquan District.
Aaron was born in New Jersey where three strong women; his Great Grandmother, Grandmother, and Great Aunt, taught him the values of good character, accountability, respect for others, hard work and most importantly knowing right from wrong.
He served as an Eagle Scout and enlisted petty officer. His organization memberships include the Occoquan District Democratic Committee, the Rotary Club of Lake Ridge, NAACP, PWCDC Ad-Hoc Schools Committee, Equality Prince William and the Human Rights Campaign.
He is a recent Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership (UVA), 2018 Political Leaders Program Graduate. Aaron is also a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church (Pastor Clyde Ellis) located in Woodbridge, Va.
Aaron said, “The Occoquan District needs a fighter and I want to be that fighter that works hard for his constituents every single day! In the coming weeks and months, I will be knocking doors; from Yates Ford and McCoart to Antietam and Springwoods, and everything in between!”
“I want to hear from the residents of Occoquan. I want to build a vision together. This is a people-driven campaign; built on grassroots organizing and a passionate belief that everyone should have a seat at the table. We’re fighting for our future, we’re fighting for a better and brighter tomorrow for all, and we’re fighting for a strong vision that leads us well into the next decade. I ask you to join me in this fight, I’m asking for you to be a part of this campaign, and I’m asking for your vote in 2019! Let’s make history together!”
Edmond has no spouse or children.
