Construction worker’s car smashed

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office crime reports:

Warrenton Road and I-95 On-Ramp, 10/30, 7:05 a.m. Vehicle left parked on shoulder overnight vandalized. The victim told deputies he has been working construction and left his vehicle there for the night. When he returned in the morning, he discovered the passenger side windows had been smashed in. The investigation is ongoing.

Intersection of Highpointe Boulevard and Pinnacle Drive, 10/30. Victim reports vehicle vandalized. Deputy observed significant damage to the vehicle, including obscenities etched into the paint. In addition, the tires were slashed and there was some interior damage. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY

Town and Country Drive, 10/30. Deputies respond to reports of a past occurred burglary. The victim reported several items had been stolen from her residence including a video game consoles and various video games. The investigation is ongoing.

100 block of Short Branch Road, 10/30. Deputies respond to reports of a past occurred burglary. Upon arrival, deputies observed a broken window on the side of the convenience store. Items costing a total of approximately $2200.00 were stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENIES

330 White Oak Road, 10/30, 8:21 p.m. Female subject leaves purse in the waiting room of an Urgent Care and comes back to find it missing. The investigation is ongoing.

50 North Stafford Complex, 10/30. Female subject receives summons for concealment of merchandise after stealing liquor from ABC store. The investigation is ongoing.

Walt Whitman Boulevard, 10/30. Lawn ornaments stolen from residence. The investigation is ongoing.

DRUGS

605 Warrenton Road, 10/25, 10:39 p.m. Caller reports overdose in room at Americas Best Value Inn. Upon arrival, a male subject directed deputies to his friend who was unconscious and sitting in a chair.

Deputy Simpson administered Narcan, which revived the subject. Fire and Rescue then took over care of the subject. A search of the room yielded drug paraphernalia with white powdery residue as well as several clear capsules containing a white powdery substance.

The subject who overdosed was identified as Alexander Mercado, 45, of Stafford. He denied transport to the hospital and was subsequently taken into custody. He was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1500.00 bond and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The friend who called 911 was identified as Gonsalo Ceja, 41, of Fredericksburg. He admitted to throwing away drug paraphernalia that was found by deputies in a trashcan outside of the room. Ceja was taken into custody and incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2000.00 bond for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
