Cristina M. Weir

Cristina Marie Weir, age 28, of Manassas, Virginia was taken from this world too soon, on Monday, July 31, 2017, at her residence in Denver, Colorado.

She was born on March 13, 1989, in Alexandria, Virginia, and as anyone who knew her would tell you, she loved her birthday. Cristina had an insatiable love of learning, whether it be in a Russian Studies class at The College of William & Mary, on the job as Operations Manager at Velocity Global, or on the streets of a new city that beckoned her to explore its city limits.

Cristina was generous. She paid attention. It was the kind of attention that only comes from genuinely caring about other people – their happiness, their needs. Her mind was a rolodex; she saw things most people didn’t, because she really was that generous – an active generosity. Cristina never forgot a name or a face, because people are what mattered most to Cristina. People, and her devoted cat, Oatie.

In addition to the many cherished friends she leaves behind, the family that grieves for her includes: parents, Michele Kaye Weir & Charles Weir; brother, Bailey Weir; sister, Katie Weir; niece, Abigail Lyndee Roberts; nephew, Ethan Roberts; maternal grandmother, DeeDee Younis; great aunt, Patricia Butchock; great uncle, Steve Butchock, all from Manassas, Virginia; and her godmother, Pam Ruoff, of Fairfax, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to www.gofundme.com/CristinaWeir. Funds raised will be used to cover funeral expenses, and to establish the Cristina M. Weir Education Fund for at-risk youth in Manassas, Virginia.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017, at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23
