Prince William County Animal Services Center Seeks Owners of Recent Strays

Prince William County Animal Services Center is working to reunite lost pets with their owners. Between February 7 and February 10, 2025, several stray animals were turned into the shelter. In an effort to assist pet owners, the center posts photos of strays on its social media pages a few times each week.

However, the center does not respond to questions about specific animals via Facebook. If you believe your pet may be at the shelter, you should contact them directly by calling (703) 792-6465, emailing [email protected], or visiting the center in person.

To reclaim a lost pet, proof of ownership is required, and pet owners should provide documentation of a current rabies vaccination at the time of redemption. The center reminds the public that the posted pictures are not all-inclusive, and anyone who has lost a pet should reach out to the facility immediately.

The Prince William County Animal Services Center is located at 14807 Bristow Road, Independent Hill.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday: Closed for business
  • Tuesday-Friday: 11 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Sunday: Noon – 4 PM

Lost pets can be reclaimed daily starting at 8 a.m., even on days when the center is closed for regular business.
