$11 million question: Manassas schools to decide to buy current HQ building or move to old police station

The Manassas City Public School Division is looking for a permanent home for its central office.

The City School Board will decide whether to purchase its current building at 8700 Centreville Road or lease and move into what will soon become the city's old police station.

During its most recent meeting, Executive Director of Finance and Operations Andy Hawkins briefed the Board on its option to buy the 22-year-old, four-story building for $10.8 million.
