Stafford County will develop a transportation master plan focusing on roadway projects, multimodal and travel demand management, and transportation technology investments.

Members of the county's Infrastructure Committee were given an update regarding the development of the master plan, specifically the cost of the development of the plan, which will be in the hands of Herndon-based engineering consulting firm ATCS.

The county will spend $731,309 from its transportation to pay for the plan, which will outline three phases of importance to the area.
