Prince William Democrats urge sacking Wheeler recall supporters

Marilyn Karp, a long-time activist in the Democratic Party, leads residents gathered at the Prince William County Government Center to call for Board of Supervisors Chair At-large Ann Wheeler (D) to resign after she dumped $50,000 of stock in data center firms.

[Updated 4:4o p.m.] Bill Wright has been a force in the fight against a wave of data centers being considered or already under construction in Gainesville.

For eight months, he's spoken at Prince William Board of County Supervisors meetings, warning that if data centers are built next to the Manassas National Battlefield, they would take away from the rural character of the sacred Civil War ground and negatively affect the Occoquan Reservoir by creating more rainwater runoff and make noise pollution due to the constant hum of the server farms that dominate in neighboring Loudoun County.
