Hotels in the region saw a revenue boost this fall, thanks to the Federal Government relocating Afghan refugees to Quantico.Â
In September, more than 5,000 refugees moved onto Quantico Marine Corps Base, where workers built temporary housing. Those needed to support the relocation, including linguists, cooks, and construction crews, slept in hotels located along the Interstate 95 corridor.Â
