On Thursday night, Terry McAuliffe was a no-show in Prince William County at his get-out-the-vote rally at Belmont Bay in Woodbridge.
However, that didn't stop the enthusiasm of about 30 of his campaign supporters who gathered under the pavilion on Harbor Side Street, on the banks of the Occoquan River, to welcome the number two candidate on the Democratic ticket -- Hala Ayala, who calls Prince William County home.
"We are on track to deliver...on November 2," said Ayala. Elected to the House of Delegates in 2017, Ayala touted the record of the state's Democratic majority -- ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment, criminal justice reform, and abolishing the death penalty.
