Burger King armed robbery – On August 25 at 6:10AM, officers responded to the Burger King located at 2211 Tacketts Mill Dr. in Lake Ridge (22192) to investigate a robbery.
A restaurant employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the establishment and jumped over the front counter. The suspect then brandished a firearm and demanded money. At one point, the suspect observed an additional employee inside the restaurant and forced both employees into the cooler before fleeing. No injuries were reported. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.
Suspect Description:
A dark-skinned black male, approximately 5’5”, with a muscular build, and around 40 years of age was Last seen wearing a camouflage-style hat, a gaiter-style mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, gloves, blue cargo pants, and black boots
Attempted burglary at the apartment complex – On August 24 at 6:20PM, officers responded to the Summerland Heights Apartments located in the 13600 block of Garfield Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed that sometime between 12:10AM and 2:30AM, the residents of two different apartments woke to the sound of loud banging. Upon checking their doors later that morning, both doors were found damaged. At no point was entry made into either apartment or was contact made with any of the residents.

DUI — Flewellen Drive & Parkway Boulevard, 8/25, 11:34 p.m. Deputy B.M. Taylor stopped a vehicle for running a stop sign. The driver, Tanisha Rich-Faison, 46, of Woodbridge, smelled of alcoholic beverages and had glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered and Rich-Faison was arrested. An open container of alcoholic beverage was found inside the vehicle.
She was charged with driving under the influence with an elevated blood alcohol content level, drinking while driving, driving on a suspended license, and two traffic citations. Rich-Faison was held on a $2,500 unsecured bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
Windows shattered — 355 Warrenton Road, Fox Motors, 8/25, 5:33 a.m. Deputies responded to the business for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, they discovered a rear glass window was shattered. The business appeared rummaged through. No items were reported stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
