Updated: Prince William to host webinar on future of remote working

For those learning to balance work and leisure, as well as the pressures of working remotely from home, the Prince William County Department of Economic Development will host a webinar.

The pandemic forced us to work and learn in new ways that revealed new concerns in the workplace, such as the need to connect with each other or the struggle of prioritizing a healthy work-life balance while working from home.

As businesses decide whether to keep their workforce remote or adopt hybrid office models, it’s important to create inclusive environments that help address these issues.

Join us on July 15 at 2 p.m. for our new webinar, Maintaining Work-Life Balance: Creating New Models for Work and Home, where our panel of experts will tackle the long-term impact of remote work on society and share insights on how employers can encourage a good work-life balance

The webinar will dive into such topics as the long-term effects on society of the workforce transitioning from the office to working from home, examining the effects of working from home on families, and how to counter the isolation many feel while working outside of an environment office away from co-workers.

The webinar will feature three panelists.

  • Eliyahu Lotzar, Principal & Founder, Reframed Reality
  • Amber Clayton, Director, The Knowledge Center, Society for Human Resource Management
  • Matthew Fumento, Talent Management & Development Leader, Otsuka Pharmaceuticals
  • Holly Handy, Asst. Director, Department of Social Services, Prince William County Government

Those who wish to attend may register online.

Companies across the U.S. are now wrangling with how to bring back employees to the workplace as vaccines have led to the end of the emergency and social-distancing orders that had been put in place by state and local governments.
