It's a homecoming, of sorts, for Republican Paul Milde. He won his primary bid to be the GOP nominee for the Aquia District seat on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors.
Milde beat fellow Republican Cindy Shelton, who's held the job since Milde stepped down in 2017 for two failed runs at the state-level office, representing southern Stafford County and Fredericksburg in the House of Delegates. Now, he's once again focused solely on Stafford County.
"I'm back in my home district where I know everyone," said Milde, who first won a seat on the Board of Supervisors in 2005. Milde will go on to face Monica Gary, who's running as an independent in the November General Election.
