Stafford County leaders will begin the process to say goodbye to the now-defunct Stafford Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Out of service since 2018, the Board of Supervisors is to approve a public hearing to remove the rescue squad from its county code due. The volunteer organization suffered a lack of participation from its members, which led to its demise, according to a resolution included in county documents.
If approved, residents will be able to speak before the Board of Supervisors on the matter. A date for the hearing has yet to be proposed.
