GOP picks Youngkin for governor: ‘Our victory won’t be lonely’

Glenn Youngkin, formerly of the Carlyle investment firm, is Virginia's Republican nominee for governor. The state's GOP announced the decision Monday night, following a statewide unassembled convention that had occurred two days earlier.

Today, he quickly picked up the endorsement of former President Donald Trump.

Youngkin was selected from a crowded field of seven Republicans, all vying to be the CEO of the state.
