An announcement recently made by the Babe Ruth Baseball League on their Facebook page revealed that the Stafford Baseball League will play host for its 13-15 years old World Series in 2022.
The New Jersey-based sports league plans to hold games in both Chichester Park and the Fredericksburg Nationals Stadium.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for our players, the community, and local businesses," said Stafford Baseball League president Michael Bouchard in the release. "We are honored that the Babe Ruth League has put their trust into this league and are appreciative to the local leaders in both Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg for their commitment and support. We are also excited about our continued partnership with the Fredericksburg Nationals and their commitment to Stafford Baseball League and youth sports. There are numerous opportunities for individual volunteers and for businesses alike to take part in this event to ensure a fun and memorable time for all."
