The details of incoming Prince William County Schools superintendent LaTanya McDade's contract were released today.
The four-year contract begins July 1, 2021. McDade will receive an annual salary of $310,00 to manage Virginia's second-largest school district and eligible for a pay raise starting on July 1, 2022. That raise will be tied to the salary increase given to all school employees by the School Board. If its $1.4 billion budget for the fiscal year 2022 is approved next month, school employees will get a 5% raise.
The school division will cover the cost of her healthcare and life insurance. The School Board will also give up to 13% of McDade's annual salary to put toward retirement.
