Prince William County will have a new superintendent of schools.
The school board will announce the new candidate at its meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The new superintendent will replace Dr. Steven Walts, who has led the division since 2005 and is one of the longest-serving school chiefs in Virginia. Walts announced his retirement last year, effective June 30, 2021.
