Virginia Tech expands program to Stafford County, will offer cybersecurity courses

Virginia Tech has signed on to teach cybersecurity to professionals right here in our backyard.

The Cyber Bytes Foundation at the Quantico Corporate Center in Stafford will work with the Virginia Tech Richmond Center to teach data analytics and cybersecurity. The continuing education program will be rolled out within the next two months. It will cater to working adults who want to update their skills.

"We have a lot of cyber practitioners in the region, and this program is designed to help them get better at their jobs," said Matt Weaver, a spokesman for the Cyber Bytes Foundation, the non-profit origination behind the Quantico Cyber Hub, located just outside the Marine Corps Base.
