Water utility to continue virtual school program for children

The Prince William County Service Authority will continue to offer remote instruction to Prince William County students for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year through its popular H2Go Kids Virtual Classroom.

Since September 2020, the Service Authority has used this engaging online learning platform to connect with nearly 7,000 Prince William County School students. Presentations for children in kindergarten through sixth grade align with the Virginia Standards of Learning and include topics such as erosion, weathering, watersheds, protecting our resources and drinking water/wastewater treatment.

“We are thrilled with the response we have received so far from local teachers and look forward to engaging with even more students for the remainder of the year,” said Education & Outreach Assistant Michelle Bouchard. “We continue to adapt our outreach efforts to support students and teachers during a challenging school year.”

H2Go Kids Virtual Classroom is comprised of real-time presentations, pre-recorded video lessons and companion activity sheets.

  • To schedule a virtual classroom presentation, contact the Service Authority’s Community Outreach Department at [email protected].
  • For engaging children’s and family-friendly activities, such as experiments and coloring sheets, visit www.h2gokids.org.
