Adair Arneida Broadus Lewis, born to the late Eugene Russell Broadus Sr. and the late Arneida Elmira Hall Appling departed this life on January 02, 2021 in the comfort of her home.
Adair was born October 25, 1936 in Washington DC. She was the first of two children born to that union; her sister Sheila Broadus preceded her in homegoing at three months of age.
Adair was baptized in 1947 in a creek by the late Rev. John Fairfax and was a member of First Baptist Church of Chesterbrook in McLean Virginia for over sixty years. While Adair enjoyed the word of God, singing greatly moved her.

Adair lived her life for her family. She was patient, giving, loving and nurturing. Adair joins her beloved husband of forty seven years the late Arthur E. Lewis and her devoted son Joseph H. Boston Jr. in homegoing. Adair leaves to cherish her memory three cousins who were as sisters, Merle Summers, Joan Graves and Barbara Jean Williams, two brothers, Eugene Broadus and Aaron Broadus (Tracey Broadus) one sister Wanda Broadus, one nephew Sean Broadus, sister in law Cathy Lewis West,
Seven children, Rita Boston-Toran, Felicia Boston, Kevin Boston, Sheila Boston Johnson (Earl Johnson), Chiquita Boston, Mbalia Lewis-Walton (Kit Walton), nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of many other close and loving relatives.
