Small batch bakery is county’s first gluten-free bakehouse

A new small-batch bakery has opened in the in a fast-growing industrial corridor of Prince William County.

Bakefully Yours is a bakery with a health-conscious mission: to supply gluten-free, vegan and paleo desserts, in hopes of providing sweets for everyone, no matter what dietary restrictions one may have, according to a press release from the Prince William County Department of Economic Development. The bakery has has been supplying the Washington, D.C. region with its healthy treats for the past four years and now serves 100 stores in the mid-Atlantic region.

Sarah Seligman, 26 year-old entrepreneur and owner of Bakefully Yours partnered with Nashville-based foodservice consulting firm, Culinary Consulting and Design to find a location for the bakery. That search led them to the Balls Ford Road corridor, an fast-growing industrial area in the county’s Gainesville District.

“We’re excited to call Prince William County our new home!” states Seligman in the press release. “Our move to this new facility marks a crucial step towards taking our business nationwide. The support and assistance we’ve received from the county in locating and setting up our new facility has been amazing, and we feel inspired to be part of such a thriving business community.”

“I am delighted to welcome Bakefully Yours to Prince William County,” said Christina Winn, states executive director of the Prince William County Department of Economic Development. “They are really a great addition to our diverse business community and another example of a small business doing big things in Prince William County.”

The new bakery marks the establishment of the county’s first 100 percent dedicated gluten-free manufacturing facility. All of the company’s products products and ingredients are gluten-free.

The company’s new digs will be located at 8136 Flannery Court in Manassas. Treats from Bakefully Yours can be found at these locations or online at bakefully.com.

Fredericksburg celebrated the grand opening of its new Visitor Center on January 10, 2025, with an open-house event that drew hundreds today at the newly renamed City Center government building, formerly known as the Executive Plaza. Rita McClenney, President and CEO of the Virginia Tourism Corporation, emphasized the importance of the Visitor Center as a resource for wayfinding and discovering unique experiences in Fredericksburg. “A lot of people research before they travel, but there’s nothing like being on the ground and finding out about a place through the people who know it best,” said McClenney.
