Two Breweries have made six-pack beers with $6 per pack going towards healthcare worker supplies.
Water’s End Brewery and Beltway Brewing Company have donated $12,000 to the Inova “COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness Fund” so far through a collaboration brew, People Performing under Extreme conditions, or PPE , to supply healthcare workers with personal protective equipment.
The first batch of PPE sold out on release day, April 25, 2020. With support from all over northern Virginia, the breweries were able to raise $9,000. They have made a second batch of PPE that is doubled in size and will be released Saturday, May 30, 2020, according to Sarah Morrisey of Water’s End Brewery.
“Pre-sales of Batch #2 have already allowed our breweries to donate another $3,000. Our new total donation goal is in the range of $25,000-$27,000,” according to Morrisey.
PPE will be available in six-packs, with $6 from each pack donated to the Inova “COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness Fund”. Please refer to ppebeer.com for details on the donation process, INOVA Health Fund, and how to purchase this brew.
