Stafford NAACP collects cash for those laid off due to coronavirus

There’s a collection underway to raise cash for those who have been laid off during the coronavirus spread.

The Stafford Branch of the NAACP has assembled an ad hoc committee to raise funds for our new Stafford NAACP COVID-19 Response Fund. The committee will use those funds to assist NAACP members and our Stafford County neighbors who have been laid off due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The plan is to help pay necessary bills that they are required to pay immediately; to buy groceries, medicines and other necessities; to pay for child care and/or other additional requirements.
A gofundme page has been set up to accept donations to this fund. So far, they’ve collected about $1,500.
