Fight breaks out in Woodbridge parking lot, glasses broken

You wouldn’t break a guy’s glasses, would you?

Police said that’s what happened in a Woodbridge shopping center when a fight broke out near a Safeway in the 1900 block of Daniel Stuart Square in Woodbridge.

A 51-year-old man told police another man walked up to him and grabbed his bags at 11 p.m. Friday, March 26. A fight ensued, and the attacker broke the man’s glasses.

The two men eventually separated and police were called to the scene. They located a suspect who appeared to be drunk, and arrested him, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

Some of the victim’s possessions were found on the suspect after police searched him, Perok added.

No one was seriously injured.

Marcus A. Wilson, 33, of 15718 Viewpoint Circle in Woodbridge, is charged with robbery, assault and battery, destruction of property and intoxicated in public. He’s due in court on July 23, 2020. He was held without bond.

Wilson has a criminal record in Prince William County dating back to 2010, according to court records.
