A body was pulled from a townhouse that the scene of a house fire.
Police said the unidentified victim was inside a home in the 12800 block of Silvia Loop, just off Touchstone Circle in Lake Ridge, when it caught fire at 4:51 a.m. today.
Fire crews were called to the scene for a report of a structure fire and located the body. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, according to Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
The victim was taken to a medical examiners office for an autopsy, as officials work to determine the victim’s cause of death.
The identity of the victim will be released by police once the next-of-kin is notified, said Perok.
The death investigation is a joint effort between the county police department and the fire marshal, said Perok.
