Rebranding coming soon for newly acquired Stafford Commerce Park

It’s one of Stafford’s largest and largely empty office complexes and it is about to be rebranded under new ownership.

Press Release | Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) announces the sale of 10,16, 24 and 25 Center Street as well as 65 and 75 Barrett Heights Road in Stafford. Known as Stafford Commerce Center and Stafford Commerce Park, the six-building portfolio has a total of 272,000 square feet and the park has almost 18 acres of land. The buildings and park were purchased for $19,150,000 by NextTier Real Estate Investors from Hudson Real Estate Advisors.

Stafford County Economic Development Director John Holden says the purchase of the commerce park means the county, and its location near Quantico, continues to make it attractive to business.

Holden also says NKF has plans to rename the center.

Holden says | The investment by NKF represents additional evidence of the value Stafford, notably in the cyber and office environment. NKF will “re-brand the site as ‘Next Tier Connect – Quantico’”, and will focus on tenants who support the activities within Marine Base Quantico, and its satellite locations.” We look forward to working with NKF to facilitate their expansion and investment in Stafford. Stafford is becoming more and more recognized as a center or crossroads of cyber and “smart” technology.

NKF is in the midst of a site-plan review with Stafford County building officials, and that they don’t have much to report in the way of new tenants. The existing center is mostly empty with the exception of one bright spot, Gcubed Inc., a government contracting firm named one of Inc. Magazine’s top 500 companies to work for.

NKF’s press release adds | Built over a five-year span between 2001 and 2006, the six-building portfolio and park are well-located for tenants looking to remain proximate to I-95, the Russell-Knox Building and Jefferson Davis Highway. Retail centers including North Stafford Plaza and Stafford Marketplace and a multitude of restaurants are nearby making this an ideal location for defense contractors that need to be located near Marine Corps Base Quantico.
