On November 8 at 12:28AM, officers responded to the Iglesia Pentecostal La Ultima Cosecha located at 8738 Yorkshire Ln. in Manassas (20111) to investigate an alarm activation.
- Officers located a rear window which was damaged and appeared to be the point of entry.
- A police K-9 searched the area and located a woman on Old Centreville Rd. near Yorkshire Ln. where she was detained without incident.
- The woman initially provided false identifying information to the officers. During the investigation, the woman was positively identified as the accused who was determined to be wanted in connection to additional burglaries which recently occurred in the area.
The investigation revealed ultimately connected the accused to commercial burglaries or attempted burglaries that occurred in the 8000 block of Centreville Road. between November 5 and 8.
- The accused used a similar method to enter the businesses. A laptop and an undisclosed amount of money were reported missing.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Shanice Shentel YATES, was arrested.
- Charged with 2 counts of burglary, 2 counts of burglary at night, 1 count of false id to law enforcement, 1 count of destruction of property and 1 count of larceny 3rd offense
