Our incredible mother, Diana H. Centers age 80 of Woodbridge, VA died on August 26, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was a resident of Woodbridge since 1963.
Diana was a member and volunteer at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Woodbridge where she helped the Bereavement committee. She also volunteered at Aquinas School helping with the hot lunch program.
She was an artist who enjoyed painting. Diana also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, crafts and doing needlepoint. She liked to make dolls and teddy bears that she gave to sick children at Potomac Hospital where she was a Candy Striper. Diana was one of a kind. Her love of the holidays and the food she enjoyed preparing for her family during the holidays was appreciated and loved by all.
She was a homemaker that always made everyone feel welcomed. A social hub for her family, she loved to entertain and did so often. Diana was always there to help those in need. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and always seemed to have the best Lily of the Valley flowers in the neighborhood.
Diana is survived by her husband of 61 years, Teddy L. Centers of Woodbridge, VA, 2 sons, Michael (Mona) Lewis Centers of Linden, VA and James Andrew (Linda) Centers of Dale City, VA and one daughter, Marianne Lee (Tom) Needham of Stafford, VA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Nicole Eisenzoph, Danielle Johnson, James Centers, Desiree Needham, Aaron Needham and her 5 great grandchildren, Camille Johnson, James Cole Centers, Connor Eisenzoph, Collin Johnson and Jesse James Centers.Her sister, Johnetta Hemey of Florida also survives her.
