Osbourn High School students competing nationally

MANASSAS — Osbourn High School Career and Technical Education students are competing at the national SkillsUSA championship in Kentucky from June 24 to 28.

In April of this year, the school participated in the 55th SkillsUSA Virginia State Championships in Virginia Beach where they secured state championship titles in Crime Scene Investigation and Esthetics for a second consecutive year.

Karla Juarez-Orozco won a gold medal in Esthetics.

Angelica Farias-Barriga, Leonela Morales-Morales, and Axell Portillo won gold medals in Crime Scene Investigation, earning the state titles.

Cristian Hernandez, who earned the gold medal in Criminal Justice, will also join the winner’s group headed to the national competition.

SkillsUSA Virginia is an organization for students enrolled in career and technical occupations in Virginia’s high schools and community colleges.
