GAINESVILLE — Police arrested a man in connection to a fatal hit and run crash that killed a 17-year-old boy.
The crash occurred in the area of Sudley and Catharpin Roads near Gainesville on September 22, 2018. A tip received by police in September lead investigators to a vehicle possibly involved in the incident said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
The vehicle was registered to the suspect and was found to have damage consistent with being involved in the crash, said Perok.
Evidence collected from the crash scene ultimately connected the suspect to the collision that killed the victim, he adds.
Following the investigation, investigators obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Raymond Alexander Robinson
Robinson turned himself into police on May 14. He’s charged with involuntary manslaughter and felony hit and run. He’s due in court on July 22 and was held without Bond
The 17-year-old victim’s name was not released. He lived in Maryland.
