Rash of armed robberies, burglaries investigated

Armed robber evades Stafford drone

7-Eleven, 327 Deacon Road, Saturday, May 11, 3:55 a.m. On this date, units responded to a hold-up alarm at a 7-Eleven located at 327 Deacon Road. The caller advised that a subject with a handgun had just robbed the store.

Upon arrival, units cleared the building and made contact with the clerk.

The drone team and a K9 unit were also called to the scene but were unable to locate the suspect. The incident remains under investigation.

2 robbed in Woodbridge park 

May 11 at 4:24 p.m., Lancaster Mill Park, 13800 Pop Moubry Place in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, reported to police that she was at the park with two acquaintances when three unknown men approached and robbed them. During the encounter, a firearm was brandished.

The men took property before fleeing in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Car stolen from Stafford dealership 

Allen’s Auto Sales, 898 Warrenton Road, 05/11, 7:29 a.m. On this date, Deputy Buzzard responded to a local business regarding a larceny of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the business owner who said he found a vehicle described as a silver 2013 Hyundai Elantra had been stolen from the property.

While canvassing the building, the deputy found a window in the rear of the building had been pried open. The keys to the stolen vehicle and several items were found to be missing from the building. The incident remains under investigation.

Windows smashed at Woodbridge Taco Bell, wireless store 

Attempted Commercial Burglaries – On May 12 at 1:29 a.m., 1948 Daniel Stuart Sq in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate alarm activation. When officers arrived, they located a front window shattered from a rock.

The window remained intact preventing entry into the business. While officers were investigating this incident, another alarm was activated at Boost Mobile located at 14352 Jefferson Davis Hwy.

Officers located minor damage to a business window from a brick. The window to this business also remained intact preventing entry. No property was reported missing in either incident. A police K-9 responded to both businesses to search for the suspect who was not located.
