It was a rough weekend for police officers in Prince William County.
Multiple people today face charges of assaulting a law enforcement officer.
From Prince William police:

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 20 at 4:02 PM, officers responded to the Prince William Medical Center located at 8700 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20110) to investigate a possible overdose. When officers arrived, rescue personnel reported they transported a man, later identified as the accused, because they believed he was under the influence of an illegal substance.
While hospital staff attempted to speak with the accused, he became disorderly. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he resisted by kicking and biting officers. The accused was eventually detained after a brief struggle. Minor injuries were reported by the officer. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Charles Henry ZIEGLER, was arrested.
Arrested on April 20: Charles Henry ZIEGLER, 34, of the 10600 block of Provincial Dr. in Manassas Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, possession of a schedule I-IV narcotic, and resisting arrest

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 20 at 5:00 PM, officers responded to the area of John Marshall Hwy. and Little Thames Dr. in Haymarket (20169) to assist Town of Haymarket officers who were on a vehicle stop with the driver who was acting disorderly and not complying with commands.
When Prince William County officers came in contact with the driver, identified as the accused, she actively resisted being detained. After a brief struggle, the accused was detained and placed inside of a Haymarket cruiser for transport. While transporting the accused, she again became disorderly and was attempting to damage the cruiser.
The Haymarket officer stopped and Prince William County officers assisted in restraining the accused to prevent further damage. The accused actively resisted by kicking the officers multiple times. A Haymarket officer reported minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and released.
The accused was identified as Lindsey Annalise BOHRER, and charged by Prince William County police. Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 21 at 8:04PM, officers stopped a vehicle on Sudley Rd. just prior to Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) for suspected driver impairment. While making contact with the driver, he attempted to strike one of the officers with his vehicle as he sped away.
The vehicle was pursued and observed to have struck two other vehicles before coming to a stop on Michelle Ct. During this stop, the driver, identified as the accused, refused to exit the vehicle. Upon removal from his vehicle, the accused resisted and refused to comply with commands. After a brief struggle where the accused was taken into custody.
The officer reported minor injuries and the accused, identified as Marco Tulio AGUILAR LOPEZ, was arrested. Arrested on April 21: Marco Tulio AGUILAR LOPEZ, 29, of the 7600 block of Michelle Ct. in Manassas Charged with attempted malicious bodily injury to a LEO, driving under the influence, hit and run, eluding, reckless driving, driving on a revoked license, unauthorized use and obstruction of justice.
