Daniel Philip Frappier

DANIEL PHILIP FRAPPIER, age 67 died on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 with his devoted wife, Sharon by his side.

He was born on April 27, 1951 in San Francisco, CA to the late Robert Lionel Frappier and Myra Belena Frappier, now 89 years old.

Dan retired in 2012 after dedicating over forty years of service to Giant Foods. He enjoyed the challenge of being a store manager and truly cared for the employees and co-workers on his team. He was unpretentious and always made people feel at ease with his light-hearted demeanor. He had unwavering resolve with whatever he faced and yet was able to bring humor into every situation. His positive outlook and love for life, his family and friends made him such a joy to be around. It was impossible to have a conversation with Dan without walking away laughing.

In retirement, he was able to increase indulgence in his favorite hobbies. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and as we all know, an excellent tennis player. He also loved muscle cars and would frequently tool around town in his beloved Saleen Mustang. Dan took fashion cues from no one. He would don an Adidas tennis shirt with Nike tennis shoes and top it off with his favorite cowboy hat.

Despite his cancer diagnosis in 2017, Dan kept that bright personality right up to the end. His well lived life and humorous, upbeat attitude will always be a great example for us all.

He is predeceased by his granddaughter, Ella Grace.

Survivors include his loving wife Sharon King Frappier; 3 beautiful daughters, Christine Elaine Garcia and husband Aidan, Melissa Marie Hugill and husband Eddie, Julie Marie Frappier; 3 wonderful grandchildren, Trevor Hugill, Trenton Hugill and Adelynn Hugill; 9 brothers and sisters: Robert Douglas Frappier and wife Andrea of Pawleys Island, SC, Kenneth Frappier and wife Ruth of Elkton, MD, Suzanne Frappier Costa and husband Dave of Rochester, WA, Ronald Frappier of Plano, TX, Maura Michelle Tutt and husband Anthony of Manassas, VA, Marsha Frappier of Manassas, VA, Yvette Sullivan and husband Dennis of Manassas, VA, Yvonne Frappier of Lowell, NC and Charlene Frappier of Manassas, VA and 48 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 19 at 1pm At Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia with a Memorial Service starting at 2pm with Father Dave Martin officiating.
All are welcome to the reception room at Pierce after the service for food and fellowship.
