Stafford sheriff’s office investigating shooting into apartment building

STAFFORD — (Press Release) The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting into an apartment building on Ebenezer Church Road that occurred in the early morning hours on Monday.

There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.

On January 28, 2019, at approximately 2:51 a.m., deputies responded to an apartment building on Ebenezer Church Road regarding reports of shots fired into an occupied dwelling. Upon arrival, a perimeter was established, and units immediately made contact with the complainant.

The complainant told deputies that there were four adults and four juveniles in the residence at the time of the incident. They heard the sound of gunshots and several rounds entered the apartment, shattering the windows. No one was struck or injured during the incident.

Deputies observed damage in two apartments and shotgun shells were located directly in front of the apartment building.

The drone team and a K9 unit responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the suspect. The unidentified suspect is still at large and the incident remains under investigation.
