Charges filed after Dyana Vasquez-Flores, 26, of Woodbridge killed in crash

DALE CITY — (Press Release) Fatal Crash Investigation – On November 18 at 2:56 a.m., investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Dale Blvd and Neabsco Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash.

The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2011 Mini Cooper S was traveling eastbound on Dale Blvd approaching Neabsco Mills Rd. A 2004 Freightliner tractor-trailer was illegally parked on the right shoulder of Dale Blvd without parking lights or roadside hazard lights operational.

The Mini Cooper left the roadway and collided with the rear of the tractor-trailer. A female passenger in the Mini Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither drivers were injured.

The driver of the Mini Cooper, identified as Antonio GONZALEZ, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and was subsequently arrested. The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as Enrique Ramirez HOLMES, was cited under the Federal code section for failing to utilize emergency equipment by investigators cross-trained as Federal Motor Carrier Inspectors. Additional charges are pending. The investigation continues.
