STAFFORD - (Press Release) On Friday, November 9, 2018, at 08:13, personnel from the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department were dispatched to the 70 Block of Draper Circle for a reported residential fire. The first unit to arrive on the scene was a medic unit at 08:16 to find heavy smoke showing from all sides of the single story trailer. A fire engine from the Aquia station arrived next to quickly bring the fire under control. Two adults, four children, and several pets were displaced by the fire. Smoke alarms were present and operating during the time of the fire.
The trailer sustained damage estimated at approximately $20,000. Units from Stafford County, Quantico, and Prince William were called to the fire. The cause of the fire was determined to be children playing with a lighter.
