STAFFORD — (Press Release) Stafford County Public Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Janis Streich, Executive Director of Learning and Organizational Development of Stafford County Public Schools, received the inaugural Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) Council Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Award for her career leading innovation in instruction and technology in Virginia. Dr. Streich’s work around the Instructional Technology Resource Teacher model has contributed to innovation through the state.
Dr. Streich, a leader in Virginia educational technology for over 20 years, is a former elementary classroom teacher and served as the assistive technology coordinator in Stafford County Public Schools during the early 2000s.
She moved on to Director of Growth and Innovation for Spotsylvania County Public Schools, where she oversaw a tremendous expansion and improvement of instructional technology and professional learning practices. Returning to Stafford, she combined the roles of directors of instruction and professional learning and continues to work with teachers and leaders to improve student learning and teaching excellence.
A regular public speaker and conference presenter, Dr. Streich shares her insights and significant professional knowledge with colleagues around the state and the region.
