Oskar A. Riemann of Wayland, NY formerly of Potomac, Maryland passed away on June 8, 2018 at the Livingston County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mount Morris, NY. He was born to Ludwiga and Johann Reimann.
Solar grew up in Rochester, NY and received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY where he was a popular student tutor. An avid reader, Oskar enjoyed traveling, and playing tennis. In his younger years he played soccer, hockey and loved skiing in NewYork and Vermont. His favorite summer activity was preparing a Clam boil for family and friends.
At the Georgia’s Air Force Base in Rome, NY and later in Washington,DC he was a dedicated government employee.
Survivors include his son Aaron K.Reimann of Voorheesville, NY; daughter Dayna (Michael) Stripp of Rome, NY; sisters Ellie (Gabe) Luhowy of Lima, NY and Charlotte Morse of Brocton, NY and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Oskar was preceded in death by his brother Helmut Reimann and nephew Stephen C. Morse.
Funeral services were held on June 12, 2018 at the O’Connell – Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima, NY. Interment followed at St. Rose Cemetery, Lima, NY.
