Susie Quarles Allison, of Lake Ridge, VA, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2018 at 100 years of age. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Gordon H. Allison; and older brothers –Rufus, Wirt (Chris), Brian, and Richard Quarles. She is survived by sons – Gordon, Lynn, and Joseph. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren – Dawn McDade, Chantelle Allison, Erin Dower, and Cara Marshall; and great-grandchildren Kylie, Devon, Takota, Ashton, Wesley, Hannah, and Zachary.
She was a life-long Methodist and a graduate of Emory & Henry College, where she met and married her husband. Donations of funds and equipment from Lamar Allison began their support of the broadcast media program at the College. Their additional funding enabled WEHC-FM programming to reach a large segment of the population of the Shenandoah Valley.

Box 950, Emory, VA 24327.Memorial service will be at 3 PM, May 18, 2018 in the Chapel, Westminster at Lake Ridge, 12191 Clipper Dr., Lake Ridge, VA 22192. Burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond at a later date.
